Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
NYC is where I’m currently based as an artist/ musician, but I travel between NYC, Nashville, and San Diego since I have my main networks in all these places!
Do you travel for shows and private events?
Yes! These factors will be included in a budget for contracted events like weddings, corporate functions, etc. We’ve even gotten asked to do destination weddings as far as Brazil!
What kind of music do you play?
Depending on the occasion, we do a mix of Top 40, Funk, Pop, Rock, Soul, Blues, and generally music you can dance to! We can also take song requests and build a custom set-list together.
What do you normally charge?
This is a question I’m asked often, and it is one based on a multitude factors: travel distance, lodging, length of set, what size band you want, if we need to provide a sound engineer, if we need to rent/ provide sound equipment, special attire (if requested), and any other unique factors. In my contract templates for those looking to inquire about pricing, I usually send out a general quote that includes a deposit fee, so please visit the contact page to reach out directly!
How long does it take to hear back from you?
Usually, I will have time around 10am EST everyday to look at emails sent and sometimes I will reply as soon as I get a message - so within 24hrs. If you are waiting to hear back after reaching out on the website contact page, please check your spam folder! I don’t know why it shows up there, but I’m working to fix this issue! If you’d like to avoid having to search through your spam folder, contact: hunnybearbookings@gmail.com directly.
Where can I see you play?
Follow my handle @hunnybearmusic on Instagram, TikTok, and/or Youtube to be up to date on show announcements or what residencies I have posted for the week/ month! I’ll have a show calendar feature on this website soon!
Can I hire you as a musician fill in?
Yes! I can front your band, play sax and flute/ arrange your horn section, piano/ synth, rhythm guitar, co-write, write your lyrics, and professionally record anything from a studio in the comforts of my home!
Do you take on students for private lessons?
If you are interested in learning beginning-intermediate saxophone with an emphasis on learning how to solo and get yourself at a level where you can play with others, I would love to work with you! I will help work on things like your overall facility, tonality, basic-intermediate level improvisation, sight-reading, scales/ modes. and work on a repertoire that translates well in lots of settings - you can even bring music to me that you’d like to learn! I mostly use zoom for lessons, so no matter where you are, you can learn.
